Topps announces first ever March Madness trading cards

The cards retail at $139.99 a pack and each include six base cards, one autograph and one parallel card.

The NCAA women’s players included in the set are: Iowa Hawkeyes’ Caitlin Clark, Stanford Cardinals’ Cameron Brink, UConn Huskies’ Paige Bueckers and Aaliyah Edwards, LSU Tigers’ Angel Reese, Hailey Van Lith and Mikaylah Williams, Virginia Tech Hokies’ Georgia Amoore, Notre Dame Fighting Irish’s Hannah Hidalgo and Tennessee Lady Volunteers’ Rickea Jackson.

On the men’s side, there’s Purdue Boilermakers’ Zach Edey, UConn Huskies Tristen Newton and Stephon Castle, Kentucky Wildcats’ Reed Sheppard and Rob Dillingham, Colorado Buffaloes’ Cody Williams, Tennessee Volunteers’ Dalton Knecht, Duke Blue Devils’ Kyle Filipowski, Kansas Jayhawks’ Kevin McCullar Jr. and North Carolina Tar Heels’ Armando Bacot. There are also dual autographed cards in every ten packs, an assortment of which include Clark/Edey, Clark/Reese, Reese/Van Lith and Sheppard/Dillingham, among others.

The announcement comes on the heels of Clark recently reaching a deal with Panini — the first female athlete to ink an exclusive contract with the company — that will pay her $1 million in the first year, beginning April 1.

Topps first announced an NIL deal with Clark in July 2022. This past August, Panini filed an antitrust lawsuit against Fanatics, Topps’ parent company, who countersued days later.
