SCNext Top 25: Updated girls’ high school basketball rankings
No. 2 Etiwanda defeated No. 3 Archbishop Mitty 60-48 on Saturday night for its second straight CIF open division championship. 2025 point guard Puff Morris was sensational for Etiwanda, scoring 20 points and dishing out five assists. USC-bound Kennedy Smith had 15 points, five rebounds, and three blocks, while 2025 forward Grace Knox had 11 points and eight rebounds and patrolled the paint in the Etiwanda zone all night. 2026 McKenna Woliczko had 14 points and 10 rebounds for Mitty.
No. 5 Grayson won the 7A GHSA championship by rolling over North Paulding 65-44. Georgia Tech-bound Danielle Carnegie scored 21 points, while Florida Atlantic-bound Erin Rodgers scored 18 points, Nicholls State-bound Malaya Jones scored 10 points and junior Tatum Brown had 14.
No. 8 Morris Catholic closed out its season on top with a 53-49 win over Rutgers Prep in the NJSIAA non-public B division. Mia Pauldo led Morris Catholic in scoring with 20 points and Mya Pauldo had 16 points and five assists. Rutgers-bound McDonald’s All-American Mikayla Blakes had 21 points and 2026 Gigi Battle had 14 points and 13 rebounds for Rutgers Prep.
No. 9 Hebron Christian defeated Wesleyan, 62-60, in the thrilling GHSA 3A championship game. Juniors Aubrey Beckham (15 points) and Danielle Osho (14 points, 15 rebounds) led the way for Hebron, which won its second straight title. Texas bound Bryanna Preston had 23 points for Wesleyan and Georgia Tech bound Chit Chat Wright had 19.
No. 23 Putnam City West beat Edmond North, 41-40, in the OSSAA 6A state championship.
No. 13 Purcell Marian is in the Final 4 in OHSAA Division 2. The school will play March 15 to try to advance while No. 24 Pickerington Central has done the same in Division 1 of OHSAA.
No. 14 Incarnate Word has advanced to the semifinals of the MSHSAA Class 6 bracket.
Florida bound McDonald’s All-American Alivia McGill turned in an impressive triple-double as No. 21 Hopkins defeated Wayzata in the 4A playoffs in Minnesota. She tallied 13 points, 11 rebounds, and 17 assists.
No. 25 Manchester enters the top 25 after their VHSL Class 6 championship over Thomas Dale, 51-42.
Arrowhead defeated Neenah HS 69-59 for the Division 1 WIAA championship. 2026 Natalie Kussow had 26 points, eight rebounds and six assists in the win. UConn recruit Allie Ziebell had 35 points for Neenah.
Princess Anne won its VHSL Class 5 championship over James River Midlothian. Freshman Micah Ojo led the way with 31 points in the win. 2025 North Carolina commit Lanie Grant scored 40 points for Midlothian.
Christ the King, led by 2026 super recruit Olivia Vukosa, won the New York State Catholic High School Athletic Association AA championship. Vukosa had 24 points in the 85-63 win.
