Da’Rick Rogers signs with Bills

“I’m a Buffalo Bill,” he tweeted Saturday night.

Rogers’ agent Joby Branion, on Sunday, confirmed his client agreed to terms with Buffalo.

Rogers earned All-SEC honors in 2011 when he had 67 receptions for 1,040 yards and nine touchdowns. But he was suspended by Tennessee last year for a violation of team rules and transferred to Tennessee Tech four days later.

At a news conference in 2012, he said his suspension by the Volunteers was for “a couple of drug tests, yes sir.” He said it was him “being a young, immature guy. Those are things that I’ve got to work on and I plan to work on.”

Rogers caught 61 passes for 893 yards and 10 touchdowns in his lone season at Tennessee Tech. The 6-foot-3, 206-pound receiver caught 18 passes for 303 yards in a 41-38 double-overtime loss to Southeast Missouri State to set school records in both categories.

Buffalo also selected two receivers in the NFL draft, picking USC’s Robert Woods in the second round and Texas’ Marquise Goodwin in the fourth.
