C.J. McCollum breaks foot again

McCollum fractured his fifth metatarsal bone and will need surgery. The Blazers said a timeframe for his return will be established after the procedure.

The injury is the latest setback for McCollum, the 10th overall pick in this year’s NBA draft.

The 6-foot-4 guard starred at Lehigh but broke the same foot during a game in January. He was leading the country in scoring (25.7 points) at the time.

According to the Blazers team website, McCollum was injured Saturday while trying to fight through a screen set by Wesley Matthews.
