NHL trade deadline tracker: Latest updates on deals, rumors and grades for 2022

The NHL’s 2022 trade deadline has passed, with a flurry of moves to review. On Nov. 4, the Buffalo Sabres traded franchise center Jack Eichel to the Vegas Golden Knights for Peyton Krebs, Alex Tuch and a pair of draft picks. Then, on Feb. 14, the Calgary Flames landed scoring winger Tyler Toffoli from the Montreal Canadiens for Tyler Pitlick, Emil Heineman and, yes, a pair of picks.

As the deadline approached, more big names moved: Claude Giroux to the Panthers, Hampus Lindholm to the Bruins, Marc-Andre Fleury to the Wild and Brandon Hagel to the Lightning.

Consider this your one-stop shop for all the deals already made. Looking for grades? Head here for analysis of all the big moves.

One name that has hit the market late in the trade deadline timeline is Anaheim Ducks goaltender John Gibson. He turns 29 this summer and is signed through 2026-27, with a $6.4 million average annual value and limited trade protection. He hasn’t really been a dominant goalie since 2018-19, and the Ducks obviously know what the market could give them for a veteran starter with a long-term deal. I get the sense this will be a summertime decision, but I also get the sense that the Ducks are letting it be known now that Gibson is in play. — Greg Wyshynski
